After numerous attempts, the shapeshifting raccoon dog, Toto, has finally acquired the ability to transform into a human. Despite being shunned by both his family and the forest animals for this, Toto aims to use his power so he can experience human life as he knows it. Although Toto can barely sustain his human form, he dives straight into applying for work at the Morinoura Hotel, an inn on the outskirts of his forest.
