Humans have inhabited space in an effort to spread across the universe. Since then, the Earth's population has been steadily declining, with the majority of residents being talking animals. While humans are not devoid on Earth, many have traveled to another planet, and only those unable to easily leave the planet behind remain. For an easygoing girl, Sui, and her best friend Neri, a talking sloth, running an inn for visitors of Earth during their busy day-to-day lives is enough to make them happy. However, when a woman named Shida is briefly stranded on Earth after missing her flight, she befriends Sui and Neri. Shida's presence fills the innkeepers with joy more vibrant than ever before.
