Braving forward, Lloyd and his allies embark on a journey from Sylvarant to Tethe'alla, relentlessly seeking a cure for Colette Brunel's Angel Toxicosis—a debilitating condition that leads to mana depletion, sensory loss, and gradual crystallization. Upon entering the vibrant city of Meltokio, Lloyd encounters Zelos Wilder, the Chosen of Tethe'alla, who joins the party, motivated by his own personal reasons.
